DESCRIPTION:The enchantment of art - the many painters born in New Mexico or who\, because of the 'enchantment' made New Mexico their home and their inspiration. \n\nThe main works of music are two compositions\, written especially for this project\, by Dr. James Helder. The Indian Spirit is described as a Rhapsody for Solo Violin. It expresses the depth of feelings of Native peoples in its moving and sad introduction and the almost violent rage as well as a sense of peace and serenity which is a reference to two Native melodies. The Tierras Encantadas - a tone poem - has various short movements describing the animals\, the scenery\, Native song\, and Dance for the Fertility of the Earth.
