The 1950 strike at the Empire Zinc Mine northeast of Silver City grabbed state\, national and international attention. Humble experienced the strike as a child\, and spent the bulk of his career working at the Chino Mine. Following his comments\, audience members will join in a conversation about how labor unions impact local working conditions today.
